A detailed analysis, delicate, of all constraints should be always the starting point. On the basis of topography, the existing elements and human action in time, morphology, the near and the far, any effective analysis, on the basis of a reliable territory restitution, must have an approach in successive scales. Other approaches, from landscape formulations or natural parameters, from sociological alternatives, or environmental positions, or unintelligible geometries will always be partial and limited.

It is true that any of these are attractive, tempting and suggestive, but they don’t stand up to the formulation of a complex question. That is, the answer is not in Territory, Nature or Landscape. It lies in a logical balance of them all. Surprisingly, once the balance is achieved, the solution can be discovered only in Territory, only in Nature, and only in Landscape. Finally, maybe the smartest thing is to intervene without an apparent intervention.
