After their success with their design for a private house at Bellavilliers les Tertres, the architects Beckmann-N’Thépé are working on another private site in the midst of appartment buildings of various different levels.

The house is situated in rue de Nice in Paris 11th arrondissement and is due to be ready at the end of 2011. The architects have designed the house to make the most of small plot of land in the shape of a trapezium. The originality of this contemporary house is in the way facades have been designed: in spite of the large bay windows, the facade which gives onto the street conceals the interior from passerby, whilst the interior offers multiple opportunities for natural light to enter, whilst guarding the privacy of the house’s occupants.
