Lighting Maarten De Ceulaer | Nomad Light Molecule

Maarten De Ceulaer | Nomad Light MoleculeThe Nomad Light concept is inspired by the act of picking fruit from a tree. The idea was to create an object, where you can pick off an element of light, and take it with you where ever you want. As soon as the light starts to faint, it’s time to plug it back onto the mother lamp, where it can recharge. The concept liberates light from its usually static aspect, and turns it into something dynamic and flexible.

Maarten De Ceulaer | Nomad Light MoleculeThe Nomad Light Molecule expresses this dynamic and flexible nature of the concept. Molecules are highly dynamic, they surround us everywhere, visible or invisible, they are constantly in motion, and are continuously being formed and deformed again.

Maarten De Ceulaer | Nomad Light MoleculeI have designed a system, consisting of 3 basic elements, with which I can create endless variations in form, so each piece will be completely unique.
