Denis Montel for Pleyel | Surface and volume
Drawing on its unique and rare expertise, Pleyel aims to reintroduce high and manufactured pianos and furniture with a modern touch to contemporary interiors, recapturing the spirit of the decorative arts, with the avant-garde going hand in hand with a lifestyle of refinement and elegance. Founded in 1807, the Pleyel Pianos Manufactory is the world’s oldest pianomanufactory and the only one in France. It is exclusively dedicated to the manufacture of high-end grand pianos. Since 2010, Pleyel manufactures and produces furniture, the fruit of a decade of contemporary creativity and collaboration with designers, artists and designerscabinetmakers, reinventing the forms, materials and colours of timeless instruments or pieces of furniture.
Located in Saint-Denis, near Paris, the Manufactory occupies an exceptional and modern site, with twenty crafts practised side by side, from luthiery, quality cabinetmaking, varnishing and lacquering to instrument-making, supported by an integrated design studio, which uses the latest digital technologies to ensure perfection at all stages of the production chain, from design to production. Thus, Pleyel develops and produces made-to-measure special orders projects, for interior architects, designers and private customers.
