Studio Professionisti Associati | New University Complex
The project has the aim to create spaces suitable for the planned activities, focusing on the needs and requirements of the areas reserved for research activities. If it is true that “free access creates free minds” and that “the resources of the laboratory (CESAR Centre for Research Services University) will provide free access to the tools and layouts for research more sophisticated and up to date”, the spaces that will host researchers and their materials, will drive further the free access to research and share results within a functional workspace and innovative from the point of view of architecture.
CeSAR and all other spaces provided in the second portion of the building complex has been designed to enable researchers not only of the University of Cagliari, to be able to meet and discuss in functional and comfortable spaces. The environments of the new complex have been structured to allow free access to the tools and fittings for the most sophisticated and updated research. This will give the brightest minds the opportunity to expand their scientific knowledge, by promoting collaboration, the key to innovative discoveries.
“Science should not be done in a silo,” modern research is the product of exchange and collaboration and work spaces can facilitate this process. The ability to share ideas and build on the work of others is as important to have the latest equipment. The scientific environment as a whole can stimulate creativity and encourage research, structure, technology and configuration of physical space in which you work is thus able to foster creativity and stimulate research and discoveries.
