Syntec | Funky LEGO Xmas Competition
UK shopfitters/contractors Syntec wanted to do something a bit different this year, so instead of giving their clients a bottle of wine, they sent out a big box of Lego to all the architects, designers and clients they work with (everyone from Michael Marriott to agencies like Brinkworth, Gravity Design, Milk and Greig + Stephenson, as well as clients like Burberry and Esprit), asking them to make anything they were inspired to make. Some responded with a Xmas theme, others went their own way, submitting either a photo or a little film of their entries.
Photos and movies sent by Syntec’s clients and collaborators were voted by the public as well as by the other participants. The public could offer 3 points – Adore it, 2 points – Love it, or 1 point to the photo or video they Liked. As for the contestants’ vote, each company could vote only once for the two categories. They could offer 5 points to any other company’s works besides to those submitted by a member of their own company.
There was a winner both in the photo completion (Shed) and in the movie competition (Platform Group). There were ten placements given in the first part of the competition and five in the second, all of whom are listed on the blog.
