This is a project for a new Tower will be constructed along the bay in Doha (Qatar). The need to streamline a huge volume suggested to separate the body of the building in two thinner blocks, which allow to have from each floor, a great view on the sea and on the harbor. At the same time the combination of a vertical glass covering, screened by a metal perforated skin, lets the natural light filters into the central empty space, making lights and shadows play inside.

Al wagba hotel_scorcioThe hall, at the ground floor, takes advantage of the play of the light because of its glass walls and the twelve floor empty space in the middle of the building. The definition of the hall and the research of a perspective cone towards the sky have a great result of the exterior facades: the building integrated in the Doha skyline very well and also, it characterize the city especially during the evening when the facade lost its mass in favor of shining word rivers which remember a lantern of paper.

Al wagba hotel_hallThe split of the main facade refers to the profound concept of dialogue between two different traditions, both endowed with great capacity. The joining of cultures is deduced by the combination of shapes and different characters which create a suggestive whole
