This project is an apartment remodeling, located at Rua General Garcia Rosado, in Lisbon. The main propose was to adapt the apartment to the needs of contemporary urban life, with the qualities necessary to the comfort and quality of life of its inhabitants.

The initial conditions for the project arise from the need to characterize the spaces according to their function since, at the time, all spaces of the house, had similar dimensions and character.

On the other hand the dimension of certain spaces and the existence of only one sanitary installation were inadequate to the size of the house and the number of inhabitants that it could hold, making it necessary that the intervention converge especially for upgrading and reshaping of social spaces and kitchen and the creation of two sanitary installations according to the typology of the house.

Other important aspect is that the project seeks to improve the quality of natural light in the house by removing walls and increasing the number and size of existing openings, particularly in the circulation areas where natural lighting is very low.
