DIN interiorismo | Summit AMThe first challenge in this project was the rescue of a deteriorated building, with very poor design and construction specifications, from the mid 80s. A priority was to restore the structure failures in order to incorporate the areas needed by the company. The building had a total of 1,300 sq m constructed and Sumit AM program required: reception area, two showrooms, two terraces, two operative areas with 15 workstations each, two executive offices with a shared area for the assistant and an executive floor with conference room, bar & TV room, gym and bathroom.

Two main activities were identified in the operation of the company, and this is why it was very important to divide the spaces considering the daily operation areas in combination with those required by the executive activities. Flexibility, comfort and privacy were the main objectives in the design of each area and the finishes for walls and floors were used to emphasize the difference between each other.

The main showroom has double height that was used to make a more ample space and replicate the feeling of a playground, one of the main activities of the company. The floors were covered with a metallic shade vinyl floor with a lemon green stripe that marks the access. The back of the room is round up with a series of oil paintings –created specially by renowned artist El Cejas- for this project depicting the grass, flowers and blue sky. The whole space is integrated to the next level by a stainless steel and glass staircase that leads the way to the executive offices. The dynamic and color of the showroom is enhanced by the generous use of natural light, that in the evening is replaced with an automated system that emulates diverse ambiances.

The executive offices were designed in collaboration with each of the partners. Their needs and personality were the main keys for the entire design. Custom furniture in Tzalam wood was produced to perfectly match the Italian desks and cabinets of each office. In the operative working areas, individual and team work marked the choice of elements that turned into very efficient and visually pleasant spaces, with a nice combination of base and accent colors. In the private area, the partners considered both work and relaxing activities, this is why a lightweight material forming a division was made by installing a glass sliding door to separate the conference room and the bar & TV room.

The final result is perfect in every aspect. The communication with the client and his trust in the professional work of our team, allowed us to develop a space in which all details were considered. The pertinent interior design of this corporate office has given the company a space that will allow them to work according to the present needs and future growth.
