The Institut du Monde Arabe designed by Jean Nouvel is a building that joins the two cultures, two histories. If the south side of the Institute reveals the modern character of the oriental diaphragms that recovering the historical themes of the Arab geometry with the ideation of 240 moucharabieh that just open and close each hour, the northern front is offered as a mirror of the western culture. In fact, the Parisian landscape is imprinted on the north face through a procedure that using the enamel on the glass as an image on its stand. The Institute houses a museum, temporary exhibitions, a library, halls dedicated to current events, etc…
