Fundació Sorigué will explain to the architectural public its soon to be realized project, PLANTA. The building PLANTA will be constructed in a working quarry located in North East Spain, near Barcelona.
The materials for the building will literally be harvested from the very ground it will soon occupy, and transformed on site to become the home of the Foundation, its collection of contemporary art and, a beacon for the Sorigué business group. This unifying symbol will also serve as a centre for training, communication, education, investigation and support to members of the company and cultural services for the broader community.
Parallel and in support of the exhibition, Fundació Sorigué will also hold the second edition of “Talking Architecture”: a series of panel discussions that explore contemporary issues in architecture through conversation between architects and experts in a variety of fields and disciplines. These conversations are carefully recorded and are being edited to be accessible via a public online platform for anyone with an interest in these questions.
