It is when referencing the old that one can truly begin to love the new. Pascale Girardin’s new collection of vases are no exception. Wishing to evoke the raw beauty of traditional glazes and loose brush strokes, the artist sought the help of wheel thrower Christian Roy, to make her vessels come to life.

The foamy grey glaze with its accents of muted blues, yellows and reds conjure up memories of hand knitted wool socks drying by the fireplace, wrapped in one’s favorite heirloom blanket.
