De Farine & D’eau Fraîche is a pastry boutique, whose concept is founded on love, naiveté, and escapism. In designing the space, Surface3 sought to capture the essence of pastries and the way we enjoy them in a way that is simple, magical and lasting; from the exchange of pastries as a ritual signifying love and friendship, to the pleasure inherent in simple indulgence.
Surface3 developed the brand strategy, the visual identity and the interior design of the boutique. Hanging sculptural lights and custom made furniture finished in dark wood give the feeling that one is in an enchanted forest. The arrangement of space and the many surprising fine details blend with the pastry creations to tell a unique story that is intended to inspire and awaken the youthfulness and magic in everyone.
