In January 2011 a new product belonging to the famous brand Vichy was launched in Paris. Along with the jewelry designer Angela Ciobanu, Vichy Romania developed a project intended to mark both the product launch and the 80 years of existence on the international market celebrated by Vichy. The project consisted of a limited edition of 18 bracelets in silver, lava and opal.

“A jewel and a unique thermal water – I wanted to find an algorithm that would allow me to enclose a drop of water within a piece of jewelry.  What I imagined is the track of a drop of water running through a magmatic rock: I used volcanic lava for magma, silver for rendering the water flow and opal – a mineraloid with a high water content – for the drop of water itself.  A sequence taken out of the life of a water drop is a piece of jewelry”, says Angela Ciobanu.
