Sturla is a family company that was born in 2006 with the purpose of providing consumers with seeds and by-products of a high nutraceutical value, becoming after a few years worldwide leaders in the production of chia seeds (salvia hispanica L.). Vanguarda Architects was summoned to develop the new corporate offices, strategically located at the Panamerica Highway- General Paz Avenue hub, in the Northern area of the province of Buenos Aires. The job required a flexible design, ordering the different areas of the company: Reception, Administration, Human Resources, IT, Commercial, Marketing, Board Room and General Management.
Thus, a space was created especially for each sector and, meeting the client’s requirements, they were all integrated in order to display the teamwork spirit fostered by the company’s director. Four spatial sectors were designed and they were arranged so that the other spaces of the layout were created from the location -within the general space and between each other- of those four sectors. In order to highlight them, wood was chosen to offer texture and color, with simple, modern and functional furniture.
The design was completed with tempered glass partitions that seem to disappear visually and thus provide the spaces with integration and, mainly, continuity of light. Additionally, the technical floor was designed with vinyl tiles and high-traffic carpet. Finally, the ceiling was made of concrete with sight fixtures.Location: Vicente López, Buenos Aires, Argentina
